Hey readers, my name is Ali and I’m a freshman here at HC. I’ve only spent a month on the hill, but somehow  it seems like a vague eternity, probably because I’ve somehow already read three whole books for my Native American Religious Traditions class. Don’t ask me how I managed to actually accomplish that– it’s pretty mind-blowing from my side of the screen too.

In case you lovely readers didn’t know, this weekend was the Homecoming game, against Fordham (funny story, my dad went to HC as an undergrad and then Fordham for law school. It’s okay though, he rooted for HC). Unfortunately we lost, but it wasn’t a huge deal; everyone had a great time cheering, and tons of alums came in to see it. I met some guys who had graduated last year later that night, who were friends with the captain of my sailing team, and they were all so pumped to be back on campus.

Right now, I’m procrastinating doing my Latin 101 homework. After climbing up all those stairs from Kimball to my dorm, I thought I deserved a little break, which currently means eating these amazing mini elephant ears that my mom brought me yesterday when she visited and writing this. But I’m almost done with my snack, and an outrageous amount of noun declensions are waiting to be memorized, so I’ll leave you now, dear readers, and catch you all next week.
